Aly

We found Aly at a car boot sale in Ruislip about five years. A Build-A-Bear with soft golden fur, an embroidered nose, and proper paw pads. He’d clearly been well-loved.

We dressed him in full camo. Jacket, trousers, cap, and a sturdy pair of black boots. Once he was kitted out he looked ready for inspection.

He came along with us to the Royal British Legion VE Day Fete, which felt like the right sort of outing for a bear in uniform.

Later that same day Aly was rehomed to Farnham. He went home with a young lad called Al who is army mad. We can’t think of a better match.
