Privacy Policy

I keep things simple. The only personal information I collect is what you choose to share through the contact form:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The subject of your message
• Your message itself

I use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. I do not sell, share, or use your details for marketing purposes.

This site does not use tracking cookies of any kind.

I do store one small piece of information in your browser's local storage: your chosen colour theme preference. This simply remembers which visual theme you selected so it loads correctly next time you visit. It contains no personal data and is never sent to my servers.

The website analytics are entirely cookie-free. I use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool that collects only anonymous page view counts and referrer information. No personal data, no tracking across sites, and no cookies.

The interactive bear map uses Leaflet with map tiles from OpenStreetMap. When you view the map, your browser makes requests directly to OpenStreetMap's tile servers. These servers may log your IP address in accordance with OpenStreetMap's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

The analytics are self-hosted on my own server. No data is sent to any third-party analytics provider.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of any personal data I hold about you
• Rectification: ask me to correct any inaccurate information
• Erasure: ask me to delete your personal data
• Restriction: ask me to limit how I use your data
• Objection: object to my processing of your data
