Taggy

Babies love tags — it’s one of those things nobody warns you about until you catch your little one ignoring the toy and playing with the label instead. These taggy comforters lean right into that, with ribbons in all different textures and widths stitched around the edges. One side is soft patterned cotton and the other is cuddly fleece, making it the perfect thing to snuggle up with at nap time or in the car seat.

How It’s Made

The taggy is made from a square of printed quilting cotton and a matching square of polar fleece. Ribbon loops in different colours, textures, and widths are pinned around the edges between the layers, then the whole thing is stitched together, turned right-side out, and top-stitched around the edge to keep everything secure. Every ribbon is given a tug test to make sure it’s properly caught in the seam.
